DIY Recycled Shrink Plastic Take Out Container Jewelry. Instead of paying for shrink plastic sheets, use #6 plastic (think temporary plastic containers from your supermarket). Tutorial from Rust & Sunshine here. As the author of the tutorial writes, this would make a nice Mother’s Day present:

“Attention Dads: This project involves permanent markers, melting plastic, and tools…and your kids will think it’s totally cool”

THIS IS A POST FOR ANYONE WHO EVEN MODERATELY ENJOYED THE HUNGER GAMES NOVELS:
There is another series out there for you to read. It’s got the whole dystopian future/broken nation feel to it, but it’s even better. Yes, I said it. It’s even better than The Hunger Games.
This trilogy is called Divergent, written by Veronica Roth. In this series, the main character is a sixteen year old girl named Beatrice. In post-apocalyptic Chicago, society is divided into five factions with each dedicated to a particular virtue. Once each year, all sixteen year olds from all factions must make the decision of which they will reside in for the rest of their lives. Beatrice is forced into choosing whether she wants to stay in a faction dedicated to selflessness, where she will be able to stay with her family and friends, or if she will stay true to herself and join a new faction, leaving her family behind. It’s a perfect novel, the sequel to which will hit shelves on the first of May.
Please wiggle that booty of yours over to your nearest bookstore and pick yourself up a copy, or order it online through an independent bookstore like this one (please order it from that store I own it and it’s super nice I promise look I even linked you directly to the page of the book that’s how nice we are). You won’t regret reading this book, I can promise you that.
